Ultrasonography is used in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. Charleston Ob/Gyn is one of the only practices in Charleston that is AIUM Certified. We have ultrasound facilities onsite at our West Ashley office for our patients’ convenience. Obstetric ultrasounds are performed for a variety of reasons, such as dating a pregnancy, first trimester screening, anatomic surveillance of a fetus, and fetal well-being and growth. Gynecologic issues that may require ultrasound include abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, pelvic masses, heavy periods, and post-menopausal bleeding. We provide the latest in technology and we will review your results with you the same day that your ultrasound is performed.
